This is popular spot for photographers, well sign-posted and with a handy car park. I returned four times at sunset and sunrise looking for something sufficiently dramatic or revealing to make an individual statement - not easy for a 'point and shoot' view. The River Tweed winds round the foot of the eroded volcano in the distance, with its three summits. Lens flare does spoil the result a little, but the lighting adds drama.
