Finally we get to the Quiver tree, which isn't a tree. It's a giant Aloe. It doesn't really have bark either, more a smooth stem that ranges in colour from white to ochre, edged in black like a banana skin. I've looked for an abstract composition of branches and waited for the dawn light to work its magic. What does this evoke for you, I wonder?
