I went back to this subject another day and found the moody, painterly abstract you see here. The rough texture evokes paint-on-canvas, and the lines of prickly undergrowth contrast with the calm softness of the smooth oval. The overcast shadow conditions and the response of the film boost the blue paint naturally. A simple piece of abandoned scrap metal becomes a mirror for intense reflection.
