The Landmannalaugar region in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve has some marvellous golden Rhyolite mountains. The rate
of erosion of these young rocks varies immensely, so there are huge piles of looses stones hundreds of metres high and
hard rock chimneys and sills poking out of them. I waited for the light to help reveal the form of the landscape. The
shadows add to the drama, I think.
