The Landmannalaugar region in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve has some marvellous golden Rhyolite mountains. The rate of erosion of these young rocks varies immensely, so there are huge piles of looses stones hundreds of metres high and hard rock chimneys and sills poking out of them. I waited for the light to help reveal the form of the landscape. The shadows add to the drama, I think.
