ICELAND | mud wave | August 2010 | 46635A
The challenge here was resolving such an unusual subject in a way that made sense of its form while retaining a sense of mystery.
The dawn side lighting adds the necessary advancing colour orange to carry a dynamic line through the image, and a pause in the breeze
has allowed steam to soften the distance, emphasizing the strength and texture of the foreground nicely. The result is as much a question
as a photograph. Námafjall near Mývatn.
